The Samaritan Counseling Center is pleased to announce the 2009 Ethics in Business Award Event!
The June 18, 2009 reception, dinner and presentation will be held at the Casa di Fiori at The Inn at Leola Village. The reception will begin at 4:00 pm. Speaker Don Eberly will kick off the event.

We will proudly announce the
2009 Ethics in Business Award Recipients
“ETHICAL LEADERSHIP IN THE MARKETPLACE”
Don Eberly is an internationally recognized expert on community and economic development and an advisor to two Presidents on civic leadership. His latest book, The Rise of Global Civic Society: Building Communities and Nations from the Bottom Up, was named on the leading works in 2008 that drive the discussion. The book details the rise of philanthropy, volunteerism and public/private partnerships in contributing to global political and economic development.
Mr. Eberly was appointed by two White House administrations to key international policy positions including Senior Counsel for International Civil Society at USAID Director of Private Sector Outreach and coordination for tsunami reconstruction at the State Department, and a key role in the reconstruction of post-war Iraq. Mr. Eberly also served as Senior Consultant for Global Corporate Citizenship at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Business Civic Leadership Center.
Scholars throughout the country have widely praised Eberly for this writings and works on civil society concepts. He has been published in the country's leading news media outlets as well as public radio and television broadcasting.
Mr. Eberly holds graduate degrees in government from George Washington University and Harvard University and has done doctoral studies at the Pennsylvania State University. A native of Lancaster, he and his family make their home here.
